Parenting is the process of raising a child from early stages of life to adulthood. In humans it is done by protecting child from harm, giving all the physical needs the child wants and teaching them the moral and ethical values which makes the child to lead a better life in his or her adulthood. The process of parenting starts from the time mother conceives her baby. Mothers eat nutritious food and follow a controlled diet for the baby to become healthy and mature. Thus the parenting process needs a lot of patience while taking care of child. The ability to understand the physical needs of the child and the emotions within them is the integral part of parenting. Developing the child to face the world intellectually is a part of intellectual development. Similarly moral and spiritual development of the child leads to the holding of moral values and spiritual beliefs there by generating proper culture and tradition. The art of emotional development such as respecting the elders, loving the younger ones, caring, sharing also is the process of parenting.
Parenting methods can be different in each individual and this depends upon many factors. For example, if a family is very rich, then the method of parenting will be in a way such as by giving all the luxurious and comforts of life, the child will be taken care of. But if a family is poor then the physical needs of the child like good dress or good food won’t be provided all the time. Even though the methods are different depending on the status of each, the emotions related with it are same. All parents, rich or poor have the same love and care for their children and they try their best to provide everything possible for their children. The moral values, beliefs, spiritual values and ethical values provided by the parents to their children are alike thus making the child a better person.
